Our Class Charter - we all decided on these rules for our class to make it safe and fun place for everyone to learn and succeed.

Creating our tie-dye T-shirts - we practised the effects we could make on a prototype and then used these ideas to design our t shirts all ready for the fashion show.

Forest School Week one - we had fun at forest school this week. We practised our den making skills using tarps and sticks, had a go at using a hammer to make hedgehogs, created hotels and used our imaginations.

Computing - practising our touch typing skills using bbc bitesize dance mat typing. We had to think about where our hands are placed on the keyboard and what fingers we use.

    Sports day

Our DT Project this half term has been on pneumatic systems and inventing a moving toy with a roman theme. We found out how pneumatic systems work but looking and trying out using syringes and tubing. We then designed a toy which has a moving part and used tubes and syringes to make them work. We were very pleased with what we made! Well done Sparrowhawk Class

Using magnets for a game or moving picture

We have had fun creating our roman mosaics. First we thought about how mosaics are made, then used clay to make our own tessarae. After we design our 6 x 6 tile- thinking about using different shades of the same colour. The next step was to paint the tiles and finally put them together to create the 6 x 6 tile.

Ancient Egyptian Day - we had great day with Mark from Portals of the past sharing lots of the information about the importance of the Ancient Egyptians. we took part in a quiz, games and role play.

Art sketching - we used pencils to sketch our self portraits. Then we looked around at others work decided what skills we could see they had used.

Summer reading challenge - well done to the children who took part.
