To celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the 10 Year Anniversary of the Daily Mile, Active Essex are hosting a live stream to get students dancing.
As part of 'On Your Feet Britain Day 2022' The Daily Mile team and Active Essex are encouraging schools to get moving with our Daily Dance session to celebrate the Queen's 70 year reign. The children danced for 15-minutes long and featured signature dance moves from different Commonwealth countries.

Our Anglo-Saxon & Viking Day
Wulfric the Saxon visited out school to tell the children all about life as an Anglo-Saxon. He regaled them with stories from the past, from early Anglo-Saxon settlers, to vicious Viking raids, heroic tales from the Beowulf Saga, feasting in the great hall and the end of Saxon rule in Britain with the Norman Conquest and battle of Hastings. The children enjoyed dressing up and finding out about what life was like in the past, especially all the gory bits!
