Over the holiday, please could you collect photos and pictures of bridges and bring them in to school the first week back.
Have a lovely Easter holiday!
During RE, we have been learning about the Jewish festival of the Passover, or Pesach.
This year Passover begins on Friday 30th and ends on Saturday 7th April.
The Seder Meal forms an important part of the celebrations.
A variety of symbolic food is shared during this special meal which reminds Jews of their time as slaves in Egypt, the exodus and their freedom.
Below is a recipe for Charoset. This sweet apple paste is symbolic of the mortar used by Jewish slaves whilst building the pyramids for the Pharaohs of Egypt.
2 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
1/2 cup roasted unsalted sunflower seed cup
4 tbsp grape or pomegranate juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
RE: Homework Project - Design a Catapult
We seem to have got a little bit ahead of ourselves.
There should only be 2 a term, which the children have now completed.
If the children would like to make a catapult, that would be lovely.
However, there is no expectation to do so.

Intrahouse Cross Country – Friday 9th February 2018
The entire school ran a cross country course. It was certainly very muddy and the weather was a little unpredictable but the children ran extremely well despite this. We are extremely proud of the children’s efforts. The Junior Results are as follows: 1st Ferguson, 2nd Burrell, 3rd Cole, 4th Landon. The Overall Winner of the day was Ferguson. Well done to all who participated! J

You will need:
1 tbsp caster sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla flavouring
I litre crushed ice
10 tbsp salt
2 small freezer bags, with fastening or zip

How to make it:
For those children who already have their pen licences, please be advised that the first handwriting pen will be provided by the school for free. When the pen runs out, could you please provide your own handwriting pen.
In school, we have been using the Staedtler Handrwiting pens, with a 0.6mm point in blue ink.
If you need a new handwriting pen, please provide a similar one from home.
Alternatively, handwriting pens may be purchased from the school office for £1.
