Sharing our year 3 experiences with Whales class.

Marvellous Middle - Victorian Afternoon Tea. We had a Victorian style tea- we served each other, made polite conversation and thought about who showed good manners. A thoroughly fun afternoon.

SCHOOL GAMES EVENT: INTRAHOUSE EVENT. We had fun playing each other at Rounders. We developed our team work skills. Well done Year 3.

Tudor Banquet - we created watercolours of the types of food they would eat at a Tudor Banquet. Some children have included exotic foods like peacock!

Colchester Castle trip

SCHOOL GAMES: DANCE FESTIVAL. WE WON!!! Well done to everyone who participated.

School Games Primary Cross Country (Team Event)

We are 500 word official story writers. Well done Grey Seal class.

Intrahouse Cross Country – Friday 9th February 2018

The entire school ran a cross country course. It was certainly very muddy and the weather was a little unpredictable but the children ran extremely well despite this. We are extremely proud of the children’s efforts. The Junior Results are as follows: 1st Ferguson, 2nd Burrell, 3rd Cole, 4th Landon. The Overall Winner of the day was Ferguson. Well done to all who participated! J


Class Charter

World Book Day - to celebrate World Book Day we shared some clues and props to talk about a favourite story. There were certainly some imaginative ones.

Roman Homework - we spend time looking and sharing our homework together. We asked each other questions about what we had learnt.

Stunning Starter - We had some remains left over from a period in history. We examined the remains for find out what we we learning about this term. It was Roman remains! Roman Poo!

Our body homework - we all produced some interesting pieces of homework about the body. Well Done Grey Seal Class

Class treat - computing time

Bully Night by Roger McGough - we wrote our poems about the night as a group. We worked together to perform our poems.

SCHOOL GAMES EVENT: INTRAHOUSE EVENT - Grey Seal class took part in a hockey tournament. Each team played 3 matches and they all worked well together. The overall winners were Ferguson House who scored 7 goals across the tournament.

Egyptian day - we were lucky have Mark from Portals to the Past to help us learn more about Ancient Egypt. We had fun finding out about how the Pharaohs ruled, what discoveries were made in the tombs and how the process of mummification was used in those times.

Egyptian Pyramids Homework

Super Scientists! We worked in small groups to find out about shadows. We thought about what material a shadow puppet should be made from and what happens when we move a torch different distances from it. We enjoyed finding out what happens.
