We joined with Whale class to devise our own games, with rules, using the skills that we have learnt. We had lots of fun.

A wonderful trip to Thordon Park

Planting wild flowers to encourage insects.

Some great Eco Week photos.

Homework and spellings for half term.

These spellings are some of the high frequency words, for KS1, that the children need to use accurately when writing. Please practise with your child so that they can use them with confidence. We will have a spelling test on the Thursday, as we return from half term, and will randomly choose some of these words.

Maths Homework sheet

Being creative! We created pictures inspired by Van Goghs Sunflowers. We sketch our outlines, the coloured our backgrounds and finally added the details using pastels, watercolours and tissue paper.

Our beans are growing. We are looking carefully to see what is happening.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter.

Relax and enjoy the time off with no homework.

I look forward to hearing all of your holiday news.

See you in a couple of weeks.

Fond regards,

Miss Butler

We shared our homework with our friends

Some of our recent homework projects

World Book Day - we celebrated World Book Day by sharing some of our favourite stories with children from Year 6. We all enjoyed listening to them reading us stories and talking about books they remembered reading.

Homework - week ending 3rd March. We have included an example of how to approach the maths sheet. Remind the chidren that, in the final step of the calculation, they can add the two numbers together in either order.

Our homework certificates. Well done Dolphin Class

Homework Week ending 24.2.17

Here are some examples of the strategy we have been using in class this week to help the children to add up. Please encourage your children to use this method and show the steps they have taken to get to the answer.

A great big thank you for your generous gifts for the all the staff in Dolphin Class. We all wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you and the children have a fun filled time. Thank you from Miss Butler, Mrs Antoniou and Mrs Short.

Infant Christmas party

Fabulous Finish - The children enjoyed making their puppets of characters from the story the Elves and the Shoemaker. The performed wonderfully to Otter Class.

School Games Event.

Whale and Dolphin classes took part in a football tournament recently; where they played each other within their houses. They had lots of fun and conducted themselves in a sportsman-like manner. They cheered and celebrated each other's successes and everyone took part.

It was a closely fought tournament but the eventual winners were:

Burrell girls and Landon boys.

Very well done to everyone.

We celebrated our homework projects today. We showed our friends and discussed what we had made and what had done. Well done Dolphin Class

Homework certificates - we have worked hard to achieve these.

Museum of Chilldhood

Some more of our wonderful homework. Well done all of you! Some imaginative ideas.

Homework 30.9.16 - Can we ask for newspaper, egg boxes, toilet rolls and cotton reels to be brought in as we are going to be making our money boxes over the next couple of weeks. Thanks. Miss Butler and Mrs Jessop.

Homework 23.9.16

Next week we will be finding out about our senses. The children will be making the smelliest sock they can! Please can we ask for some odd socks to be brought in for the children to use.

If you have any newspapers they will be well used by the children.

Wonderful Homework - We have been working hard on our homework.

Beebots - We enjoyed using the Beebots. We gave the Beebots instructions to get to different places in Andys Bedroom.
